“Part of the secret of a success in life is to eat what you like and let food fight it out inside.” We trust Mark Twain and in the spirit of his wisdom the Optimist Club decided, life is short…Eat more Hot Dogs!

There are few things more fun than a cookout.  Combine that with a couple hundred smiling kids getting ready for their Field day at school and you definitely have the secret to success.  McPherson Optimist Club serves over 1400 hot dogs meals with chips and cookies each year to the kids from our grade schools in McPherson.  The cookouts take place at each school in the Spring and usually coincide with their Field Days.  The tradition has been going strong since 2012 and has been an awesome way to “serve the youth” in our community!  Reach out to us if you’d like to help serve or even make a donation to make these fun events possible.
